So I made the goat Cheese Tart yesterday (I love spring break!). I got the recipe b/c someone else posted it on their blog but the original source is the Sprouted Kitchen blog
Here are my honest thoughts...
Goat cheese can be more appreciated in other recipes. This one tastes like cheese cake and doesn't seem to make a huge difference that it is goat cheese. It is a little different and that's nice. The taste is great (although I'm not so sure about the nutmeg in the crust). Overall I would say if you are interested in making it then go for it, its fun and looks really pretty and tastes good. But in terms of a recipe to add the list of old faithfuls I don't know if this is the best choice. Go for cream cheese instead, maybe add cinnamon to the crust, more butter, and make a sauce out of the same fruit puree that you mix into the cheese&yogurt to pour on top when you serve.
